Say No To Plastic Bags!

If you have ever happened to shop at nofrills or foodbasics, you have noticed that you have to pay 5¢ for each plastic bag. I always asked myself why they tease costumers for just five cents? Who cares if someone uses a couple of more bags to pack his stuff instead of cramming them into fewer bags? How costly and important it could be?

Well, it turns out that it's very important!! A plastic grocery bag takes approximately 1000 years to decompose, and about 100 billion plastic bags are distributed annually worldwide. It was the sad part of the story! But the interesting side of the story is that there has been 95% drop in Ikea plastic-bag use in Britain since it started charging 5¢ for bags last springs.

Great saving in plastic junk!! Let's say no to the more use of plastic bags by recycling them.
